Bose Quiet Comfort 3

The Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Canceling headphones.

The Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Canceling headphones give you awesome Bose performance in a new, more compact on-ear design.

They're way smaller than the QuietComfort2 but you still get full-spectrum noise reduction that makes unwanted sounds fade into the background. Then over that quietness you can listen to your favorite music, most likely clearer than you ever heard it before. I never fly without my Bose QC2, but now I'll never fly without my new QC3 headphones! I love to put them on without turning them on at first. For a few seconds I let my ears soak in those intense jet engines noises, and then I hit the "power" switch and relax as those jet engines fade into the distance! Use the detachable cord that's included to connect your MP3, DVD or CD player, or to listen to the in-flight movie. And maybe for the first time ever you'll actually hear the movie dialogue because there's on other noise to drown it out. I'm amazed that Bose engineers were able to shrink their noise reduction electronics to such small size without shrinking any of the performance.

The new QC3 headphones are powered by a rechargeable battery with approximately 20 hours of run time. The battery and compact wall-socket charger are included in the kit. And if you like, the QC3 headphones can be paired with most music-enabled mobile phones through an optional Cell Connect cable. Like the QC2 Noise Canceling headphones (which will still be available) when you're done listening, the ear cups fold flat for compact storage in the slim black carrying case. The price of the QC2 is $349, while the QC2 remains at $299.
