Lennart Poettering has left Red Hat for a new, unlikely employer, Fedora is Officially supporting the Pi 4, and System76 is launching an Alder Lake laptop. Ubuntu is still working on Snap performance, Gentoo is flirting with binaries, and you can actually install Arch on that Chromebook. There's a Kernel module written in Scratch, and there may be a Risc-V single-board computer coming that you can actually afford.
