Facebook's Free Basics will not come to India anytime soon.

Today the regulatory authority in India issued new rules that would ban Facebook's Free Basics offering, thereby upholding the spirit of Net Neutrality. Wired announced a new subscription plan for its website - Pay $3.99 a month for no ads and after February 16th, you won't be able to visit the site using an ad blocker.
