Tip: Download Your Purchased Groove Music Files

Paul Thurrott's tip of the week on Windows Weekly 538 involves how to handle purchases you may have made with Groove Music now that Microsoft has announced it is retiring the streaming service. You'll only have until the end of the year to download your purchases. As of January 1, they won't be available. These will download as MP3 files that you can then import into another app or service.

You can put these files on OneDrive, but one thing to keep in mind is that the Groove Music Pass gave you bonus storage, which is also going away. If you have Office 365, however, you'll still have extra space. By storing these music files in OneDrive, you'll also be able to continue playing those files using the Groove app on Windows 10.
