Inside TWiT

What You Can Do if You Want Our Podcasts in Lo-Fi Video Format

Earlier this year, we began to consolidate video formats so each podcast has one video feed, along with audio.

On July 1, 2020, we completed the streamlining for all podcasts. You can read more about it in our previous blog post.

Each podcast now has a single video feed — HD — in addition to audio/MP3.

If you were subscribed to the LO or HI video formats, your podcatcher will automatically redirect to the HD video feed so you won't need to take any action.

If bandwidth is a concern, you can subscribe to the YouTube versions of our shows and select the video playback resolution you'd like. In fact, we'd love it if you would go ahead and subscribe to the TWiT YouTube page.

TWiT podcasts are unique in the industry with each show having video versions as well. Even then, 80% of our downloads are audio. Plus, with the wide availability of broadband Internet, we are finding that fewer people subscribe to the lower resolution video feeds. Consolidating video formats is a way for us to streamline operations.
