Matthew's Tips 1) Get into the habit of treating each picture you take as if it was film and you only have 35 frames to shoot. This will make you treat each frame as something special and not just disposable pixels. 2) Try to shoot at your camera's "native ISO". For Sony and Nikon it's ISO 200 and for Canon it's 160. Shooting at the native ISO will give you better files than shooting at other ISO's. Its similar to shooting films with the lowest ISO's but digital is different. 3) Move in close. The one thing I see in most photographs is that they are taken too far away from their subject. Move in and fill the frame with important information to create strong images. Treat the frame as if you were painting a picture on canvas. Make sure everything in the frame is what you want.
