Microsoft held its anticipated Education event this morning, and The Register’s Iain Thomson was there front and center for all of the announcements. Megan Morrone and Jason Howell discuss whether the new Surface Laptop and Windows 10 S will give Microsoft the advantage in the classroom. Other Microsoft announcements include an update to Teams, also designed for students with emoji, stickers and GIFs. Plus, the Minecraft Education Edition will now include Code Builder that works with existing education platforms like Tynker and ScratchX. Finally, Microsoft's open-source platform MakeCode for learning JavaScript is integrated into Code Builder.
