Last month a LibreVR plugin called Revive allowed HTC Vive users to play Oculus games on their HTC Vive. Very soon they found this workaround inoperable. Jason Howell and Megan Morrone talk to Sam Machkovech about a new update to the DRM battle on Oculus. Oculus representatives confirmed to Ars Technica that the company has removed any Rift hardware check from its runtimes in the latest update. They also said they "will not use hardware checks as part of DRM on PC in the future."
