Apple has published a report on the App Store, its "trusted ecosystem" of apps in response to several antitrust cases and concerns. iOS 15 will introduce iCloud Private Relay and Universal Control. Peloton is reeling in the backlash its received related to its treadmill and subscription service. Microsoft has revealed Windows 11.
First, Rene Ritchie joins the show to talk about the ongoing antitrust concerns regarding Apple's App Store. The company has published a report detailing its "trusted ecosystem" of apps — Rene explains how this could help the company going forward. Then, Ritchie is back to talk about two new features in the next versions of Apple's various OSes — iCloud Private Relay and Universal Control. Then, Brianna Wu stops by to talk about Peloton. The company is receiving blowback after its decision to "fix" its treadmills with a feature that requires subscribing to its fitness program. After the death of one child and injury of others, some customers are unhappy with Peloton's inaction and resistance to fully fix the problem.
