Google announces a program to buy patents.

Google announced a new initiative called the Patent Purchase Promotion. The company is giving patent owners two weeks to try and sell their patents to Google. The idea is to quickly monetize patents that Google can use so small patent holders don't turn to patent troll companies for that monetization. Google promised to inform patent owners whether they'll buy their patents by June 26.
