Records live every Tuesday at 4:30pm Eastern / 1:30pm Pacific / 20:30 UTC.
Virtualization, the idea of creating a computer within a computer, has been around for a long time. New virtualization software like VMWare, Virtual PC, and Parallels, make it possible to run your operating system in a sandbox - isolated from the rest of your system - providing a way to surf safely. In this episode Steve looks at the history of virtualization, talks about how it works, and sets the stage for its uses in security, which we'll talk about in the next episode.
