Security Now 19

Security Now! with Steve Gibson, Episode 19 is out early.
Records live every Tuesday at 4:30pm Eastern / 1:30pm Pacific / 21:30 UTC.
Steve finishes out his search for a way to secure hotspot Internet access with a look at OpenVPN. But first, he responds to some issues from previous shows... Steve offers newsgroup style security discussions on his site at He uses Gravity for Windows to read them. Has WPA been cracked? Despite Seth Fogie's article earlier this year in, it has not. The crack is nothing more than a brute force attack that is easily thwarted by a good password, like those Steve offers on his page. He also talked about another very good freeVPN implementation called iPIG. Bad name, but an excellent implementation. Read the thread Steve started on the iPig Forums.
