Mac Pick: Twitterrific

Rene Ritchie's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 579 is the return of the classic Twitterific Mac app for Twitter. Iconfactory, the developers behind this, did a Kickstarter first for it, and now it's on the Mac App Store. It gives you exactly what you'd expect out of the popular Twitter client -- the unified timeline, clean interface, delightful interactions, great sounds, and more. This new Mac app has been completely redesigned and rebuilt, but it has that same familiar Twitterrific experience. There's no ads, promoted tweets, or "while you were away" updates cluttering what should be a chronological timeline.

Twitterific for Mac has support for Notification Center, Retina displays, full screen mode, and other macOS features. It can display multiple windows, so you can see all of your accounts and timelines at once. It gives you the ability to customize fonts, type sizes, and lets you control how media appears in the timeline. And it will sync your reading position between Mac and iOS devices.
