Mac Pick: Cardhop

Rene Ritchie's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 583 is Cardhop from Flexibits. This app sits up in the Mac's menubar and has everything that's great about Fantastical, including the quick natural language querying and input, but it's applied to people. You can see your recent contacts and birthdays by clicking on the icon in the menubar, but it's designed to find contact information and take action on it simply by typing.

When you type a person's name and then the word "call," Cardhop will initiate a call using FaceTime audio or call relaying from the phone. You can get directions to someone's place by typing the name and "directions," and you can add and edit contact information naturally as well.

Cardhop has a 21 day free trial, and after that it costs $14.99.
