iOS Pick: RadarScope

Alex Lindsay's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 565 is RadarScope. This is a professional grade weather radar app. It gives you access to the latest reflectivity, velocity, dual-polarization, and other products from NEXRAD or TDWR radar sites. It has the highest resolution images with data rendered in its original radial format. RadarScope also has an app for Apple Watch and Android Wear. This lets you display radar for saved locations, and you can set the zoom level with force touch.

The basic version of RadarScope is a one time cost of $9.99, but there are two different pro tiers that unlock more functionality. The Pro Tier 1 subscription plan costs $9.99 per year and includes real-time lightning, a dual pane display, longer loops, and more. There's even more sophisticated features in the Pro Tier 2 version of the app, including a look back in time up to 30 days, shear or rotation detection, and hail size estimation. That tier costs $14.99 per month, or $99.99 per year.
