iOS Pick: Fly Video Editor
Leo Laporte's app cap from iOS Today 271 is the Fly Video editor, which recently was acquired by Google. This is a very simple video editor that uses intuitive gestures. Tap to make a cut, swipe across clips to make a disolve, and tap two videos simultaneously to make do a split screen.
The app also had plugins available as in-app purchases to add more functionality, like tempo, timelapse, cropping, and more. Since Google has acquired Fly Video, they have made all of the in-app purchases completely free. The app will continue to be available for download for the next 3 months, but it won't be getting anymore updates. After the app is removed from the app store, you'll still be able to use it on your device, but it won't be available to new users.
