Mac Pick: The New Firefox

Andy Ihnatko's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 591 is the new version of Firefox, code name Firefox Quantum. Andy has been using this about 50% of the time along with Chrome, and he's found that it's so much faster than anything else he had available on the Mac.

Mozilla did a major rewrite of Firefox, and it now has much better security and privacy. It also has a brand new rendering engine that's not only standards compliant, but also makes really good use of multiple cores in a CPU. Even if you have upwards of 40, 50, or 60 tabs open, it doesn't slow down at all.
