iOS Pick: Churchill Solitaire

Leo Laporte's app cap on iOS Today 282 is Churchill Solitaire, an app made by Donald Rumsfeld and WSC Solitaire. While Donald Rumsfeld was busy as a politician, he was also taught a solitaire game by a diplomat who was taught by Winston Churchill during the Second World War. This version of Solitaire uses ten rows of cards spread across two decks of cards, making it more challenging.

In addition to the actual gameplay, the app features cinematic video and audio of Winston Churchill. You'll begin as a cadet alongside Churchill in 1893, and as you progress through the game, you'll earn promotions and military ranks until you eventually become Prime Minister. The game is free with in-app purchases to get more deals and game packs.
