Hardware Pick: Lume Cube

Andy Ihnatko's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 491 is the Lume Cube, which is a small, inch and a half sized cube that produces 1500 lumens of light. It has ten levels of brightness adjustments. The Lume Cube has buttons on the side, but it also can be paired to your smartphone to be remotely operated through the app. If you have multiple Lume Cubes, you can set them all up to be operated individually through the app.

It can be used in strobe mode as a camera flash, or you can leave the light on constant for video recording. It has a long lasting battery that can be recharged with a USB cable. It's also fully gasketed, so not only is it weather proof but it's fullly submersible down to 100 feet.

Lume Cube is $79.99, and you can find out more at LumeCube.com.
