Hardware Pick: Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K

Alex Lindsay's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 497 is the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K. This is a very small 4K camera that can use any Micro Four Thirds lenses. There are also adapters so that you can use Canon lenses or even traditional broadcast lenses with it.

What makes this such a great camera is that it's made to be rigged and hacked. The SDI program input can accept commands from any ATEM switcher which means you can remotely control camera settings, color, black level, lens focus, iris, zoom and much more. There's even an expansion port that includes PTZ and B4 control outputs for remote heads and remote control of broadcast lenses.

MSRP of the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K is $1,295.
