Marc Cornellà
I'm a Catalan developer, 25 years old, currently living in Barcelona and still finishing my degree, hopefully this year haha. If you want to ask why go ahead but it might be a sensitive topic depending on how I'm feeling that day ;) I do have a job mostly on weekends as a sysadmin in a small SME in my hometown. I'm interested in FLOSS, zsh, and currently trying out frontend and full stack with React and Node. I first started using Oh My Zsh after a CodeTuts+ article in 2012 . After that I used it without a problem. In late 2013 I got into the whole giving back to the community philosophy and not being afraid of looking clueless (shoutout to Scott Hanselman for that) and I ended up on my first Oh My Zsh issue through CodeTriage. After that I submitted my first PR, managed to get Robby's attention and started working to massively reduce the number of open issues and PRs. It's now back at where it started though, I think 800 is its natural equilibrium :') After a while, Robby added me as an official collaborator . I wrote in there about how I wasn't the only one helping that I think might be interesting. Regarding other FLOSS projects, I'm mostly a user of most of them and perhaps I'll make a drive-by pull request, but generally on low-hanging fruit and on very unknown github repos. I do have and maintain a FLOSS project outside Oh My Zsh, and that is Gnank, a schedule generator for my faculty, which I inherited from a student that developed it under GPL when he was studying. It's mostly written in Python and pyGTK which I'm not very fluent at, so whenever I have time I have the intention of porting it as a web app using React or similar.
