Jennifer Pattison Tuohy

Jennifer Pattison Tuohy is a writer at The Verge, where she reviews the latest smart home gadgets and covers news, products, and companies in the connected home space. A journalist for three decades, she pivoted to tech news in 2013, after she got her first iPad in 2011 and discovered TWiT’s iPad Today (true story). She has written for The New York Times, Wirecutter, Dwell, Wired, The Ambient, BBC Science Focus, US News & World Report and others. Born in New York City and raised in London, England, she received her training on Fleet Street with The Daily Telegraph newspaper before moving to Sun Valley, Idaho, where she worked in local news for ten years. She now lives in South Carolina with her husband, two children, a dog, a cat, a rabbit, and seven chickens in a sometimes smart home.
