The Best of TWiT for 2013

As we say goodbye to 2013, we've put together a selection of “best of" episodes for some of our shows:

Changes at TWiT, Part 3

We are disappointed to announce that Iyaz Akhtar has chosen to leave our network, but we are thrilled to continue Know How… with Father Robert Ballecer.

Father Robert has already booked a series of guest experts for Know How… beginning with the January 2nd episode, and we will continue to grow our “help and how-to” content on TWiT.

Because Father Robert is taking over Know How… while also launching our new programming show, Coding 101, Leo has decided to continue hosting Before You Buy on Tuesdays.

TWiT New Year's Live Broadcast 12/31

Join TWiT as we welcome the New Year in each and every time zone, starting at 4:00am on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 and finishing at 4:00am on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.

Leo Laporte will be hosting the 24-hour extravaganza, which will include special episodes of MacBreak Weekly, The Giz Wiz, Before You Buy, All About Android, and NSFW. We’ll also be playing Game of Geeks, showing highlights from 2013, and Leo Laporte will be taking your calls for tech support. What else might happen? You’ll just to have watch and see!

Now Hiring: Systems Administrator (In-House)

TWiT is looking for a System Administrator. This is an in-house position at the TWiT Brick House Studios in Petaluma, California.

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hosted systems and software. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within TWiT's infrastructure.

Changes at TWiT, Part 2

We are pleased to announce that Silicon Valley technology journalist Mike Elgan has joined TWiT as our News Director and the Lead Anchor of our daily news netcast, Tech News Today (starting January 2, 2014).

His hiring is part of a planned 2014 transformation and expansion of TWiT’s News Division, which includes our Breaking News coverage, as well as the launch of our new evening news show Tech News 2Night on January 13, 2014.

Changes at TWiT, Part 1

I've known Tom Merritt for more than a decade - since the grand old days at TechTV. He's a trusted colleague and I consider him a dear friend. When Tom moved to LA last year we agreed to try having him anchor his shows from Southern California via Skype. We've been mostly happy with the result, but I've always felt that TWiT had lost something by not having Tom's leadership in the studio with us.
