This week, Jason Howell takes over for Leo as we discuss the rumors surrounding next week's Google event, Snapchat's new Spectacle camera sunglasses, and who could buy Twitter. Also: the end of Blackberry's hardware business, most Galaxy Note 7 users have returned their phones, and Elon musk has plans to send a million people to Mars.
- October 4th, Google will hold an event. Rumors suggest they will announce two "Pixel" branded phones, the new "Andromeda" OS, the Amazon Echo competitor Google Home, and more.
- Snapchat announced Spectacles, their new camera sunglasses, which shoot 10-second round videos.
- Google, Verizon, Salesforce, and even Disney have been rumored to be interested in buying Twitter.
- Blackberry announced today that they will no longer make hardware.
- Samsung says that over 60% of potentially unsafe Galaxy Note 7 phones have been returned.
- Elon Musk spoke at length yesterday about his desire to colonize Mars within his lifetime.
