When Google killed off its Project Ara modular phone late last year, many phone enthusiasts were bummed about what could have been had the concept taken off with the backing of Google itself. Weber wrote about how Google wanted design studios like Midnight Commercial to think big when it came to modules for Ara, beyond the typical crop of speaker and camera attachments.
