House Passes Email Privacy Act
A new law would require a warrant for any email access

This past week, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that would change a law allowing law enforcement officials free access to emails kept on an ISP's server for longer than 180 days. The new law would require a warrant for any email access. The bill now goes to the Senate, where it is expected to face opposition.
