Last week Jason Howell and Megan Morrone reported that George Hotz from Comma.ai had decided against releasing the Comma One device that turns a regular car into a self-driving car because he was frustrated with all the regulation. We asked car tech expert Sam Abuelsamid from Navigant Research (and a contributor to Forbes) to tell us more about what happened with George Hotz, the NHTSA guidance, and what it says about the future of self-driving cars.
