Jason Howell and Megan Morrone welcome Elliot Harmon from the Electronic Frontier Foundation to discuss universities that sell patents to patent trolls. Patent trolls, the kinds of companies that exist only to collect patents and then take people to court to demand money, are the thorns in the sides of tech companies big and small. The EFF has long defended the rights of innovators against so-called patent trolls and they just announced a new effort called Reclaim Invention.
