Tip: Use a Google Chromebook Offline

Google Chromebooks have come a long way and are very capable computers, but they still rely on an internet connection for most things. Megan Morrone, however, has a tip for being productive on a Chromebook even without internet access.

For Google's apps including Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Gmail, you have to manually enable offline access. First open the app you want to use, click the menu, and choose "Settings." Then click "Turn on offline sync so you can edit while offline." You'll need the Chrome web app to access your stuff offline, then click "Enable offline," and all of your docs, spreadsheets, presentations and drawings will be saved locally.
