Megan Morrone's app cap from iOS Today 267 is Overcast. This is an audio only podcast app by developer Marco Arment. There used to be a free and paid version, but Marco said this week that he was making all of the features completely free. It has a directory for finding podcasts, and you can also recommend podcasts for others to discover.

Other features in the app include smart speed, which will dynamically shorten silences in talk shows in a natural way. Voice Boost will normalize and boost the volume so every show is loud, clear, and at the same volume. Finally, the Smarter Playlists allow you to create show priorities and sorting rules.
