App Pick: Pzizz

Leo Laporte's app cap on iOS Today 342 is Pzizz. This app will help you fall asleep quickly for a nap or for a full night's rest. It uses the science of psychoacoustics to play a mix of music, voiceover, and sound effects to quiet your mind and guide you to sleep. You choose whether you want to just take a nap or sleep for the night, then select the amount of time you'd like to stay asleep. After that time is up, Pzizz will be your alarm clock to wake you up.

Pzizz creates a unique session each time you listen to it so your brain won't get tired of hearing the same things over and over again. You can also customize the volume of the voice and music, voice gender, and more.

Pzizz is free to try for 7 days and the trial does not require a credit card. There are three subscription models — $9.99 per month, $99.99 per year, or $239.99 for three years. If you want to continue using Pzizz for free, you'll still have access to the "classic" features, which includes the original sounds and features from the older apps.
