App Pick: Microsoft Authenticator

Paul Thurrott's pick of the week on Windows Weekly 503 is the Microsoft Authenticator app, which was just updated for Android and iOS. It's important to enable two factor authentication for every account that supports it, and your Microsoft account is one of them. Microsoft's Authenticator app is excellent, and on Microsoft accounts it pops up a window on your phone when signing in so you don't have to type in codes.

The most recent update of Microsoft Authenticator introduced a new feature called "Phone Sign In." This means you can now login to your Microsoft account without typing in a password. You simply type in the email address associated with the account, and then the app pops up a message on the phone asking to approve that login.
