  • In Windows Media Player 11, you cannot back up DRM licenses, but you can back up the music! Moreover, if you rip your own CDs on Windows Media Player 11, it will even DRM that music. Also, the Zune will add its own DRM on any files transferred to it.
  • Congress says "F U" to Net Neutrality with a blatant pro-big-business push poll.
  • HP's Hurd confirmed the probe OK, and Dunn resigned. Also, HP's stock has finally taken a hit.
  • A very critical Windows flaw has been revealed. The exploit applies when you view an infected .vml (vector markup language file) only in Internet Explorer. Steve Gibson has posted a simple fix for this on his site.
  • Toshiba is recalling 340,000 batteries from its laptops.
  • The CEO of Disney, Robert Iger, stated that the iTV has a small hard drive.
  • Wal-Mart says that the Zune will be $284.
  • iTunes has sold $1 million of movies within the first week of their introduction.
  • A "double disc" may end the high-definition disc format war.
  • Microsoft will add 1080p support over a software update as well as beginning to sell the HD DVD drive for $170 beginning November 22nd in Japan.
  • The PS3 price cut will be exclusive to Japan.
