BOO! Did we scare you? The Pretty Scary update will be released on October 24, just in time for Halloween! In this week's snapshot, Dinnerbone postpones (and reverts) the lighting changes we were so excited about in the last snapshot and delays them until 1.5. But hey, that's alright since we'll be getting the API in 1.3-er, 1.4, right? Oh wait...
The texture for the beacon has been changed. Map makers can now edit NBT files and add custom titles and descriptions to items. Swamps will now generate huts where witches will spawn.. Stay away! Flatland has the option to no longer be flat with the generation of trees, mineshafts, strongholds, and more.
Just in time for the holiday season, you can now easily give the gift a creeper by buying a Minecraft Prepaid card at participating stores (Walmart, Target, Best Buy).
