PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) Minecraft Panel!
The 1.4 update is officially going to be called the "Pretty Scary" update (the plan is to make it something of a Halloween release). And sadfaces for all, no API in version 1.4.
Wither updated to have a way to summon (4 soul sand in T shape, and 3 mob heads above it), drops Nether Star, which can be used to craft beacon blocks. Skeletons now spawn in the nether, also chance of spawning Wither Skeletons. Now you don't just ride backwards on a pig, control them with carrot on a stick! Chickens now use seeds to breed, pigs use carrots to breed (instead of wheat). Extra choices for superflat world generation (GUI not yet in game, but if you know how to manually edit savefiles, you can DOOO IT!)
