Tom showed off a bunch of essentials from his ready bag. On the gadget side, Tom was a fan of a hand crank radio from Grundig. Here's a list of available crank-able radios from Amazon.

Feedback:
We asked you guys on Twitter, "What gadgets should you have in an emergency? #twitkh"
- Chris Riordan: @iyaz #twitkh Extension cord and Power inverter for Car.
- Dan Phillips: @iyaz encrypted USB drive with scans of important docs (deed to house, birth certif) in case originals are lost in fire or flood #twitkh
- Scott Heinowski: @iyaz I keep a prepaid mobile wi-fi hotspot, on a different network than my mobile phone, that way I have 3 connections. #twitkh

Hi,
recently saw your #18 KnowHow episode and I would like to recommend a better and easier way to make a hackintosh using myHack (http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/), the site explains what parts to get and how to install OS and everything in one place. I've been with hackintoshes since Snow Leopard and in my opinion myHack guide is best, the only thing it lacks is the DSDT database, but you can always use tonymacX86 dsdts or make your own (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/). Hope this info helps.

P.S. Sorry for my English, I'm from Lithuania so English isn't my native language.
