NeatDesk Scanner and Digital Filing System

I know it may surprise you to read this, but we here at TWiT is actually a semi-functional business with a constant flow of paperwork, receipts, and business cards streaming in. Our fearless office manager, Frédérique, does her best to keep the TWiT team organized, and she does a fantastic job of it. One of the most valuable tools in her organization arsenal has turned out to be the Neat Receipts NeatDesk scanner that Leo ordered for her.

The NeatDesk is actually a one-two punch of awesomeness. Not only does it have nice scanner hardware with little slots on top so it can easily and clearly scan any sort of document, such as a business card, receipt, or piece of paper that might come into your business... but it also features AMAZING "Digital Filing System" software with fantastic optical character recognition. Drop in a receipt, hit go, and it will fill in all of the fields it can understand, categorize it, and put it in its searchable database software.

We know that hard copy transaction records are a pain, but until the world catches up to your level of technical sophistication and just emails you your receipts, this is a great stopgap that will allow you to easily create a database of your finances.
