From Heil sound, the Heil PR-40 is a masterpiece of design, craftsmanship, but most importantly... audio engineering. This is the microphone that Leo uses for his nationally syndicated radio show, for all of his podcasts, and now that we here at TWiT have for studio guests. In the past we used Countryman microphones for guests, but the difference in sound between Leo's pr-40 and the guests microphones was so noticeable, that we decided it was time to simply go all PR-40 or bust in the studio.

But then we started to realize, that all of our guests who call in via Sskype were not using PR-40s either! Now we have began to distribute PR-40s to our hosts across the country to improve their sound as well.
