Corsair CMFSSD-128GBG1D 128GB Internal Solid State Drive

The ideal SSD drive for real world use in a laptop.

Leo had been wanting to try out an SSD for a while in his new Macbook Pro, but was unsure of the price of the new Intel X25s, and the small storage space.

However, after talking to Allyn Malventano and Ryan Shrout of PC Perspective fame, he was talked into a Corsair 128 gb SSD.

Internally, this drive has a Samsung 4 channel controller, with Samsung flash memory. It offers 128gb of storage space and can transfer at 90mbps per second.

Is this as fast as the Intel x25?

No.

However, it is much bigger than an x25, it is cheaper, and it fast enough to max out the actual speed at which laptop sata connections will be able to communicate at when you are using it.

This drive is ideal for real world use in a Laptop.
