We're all familiar with taking screenshots on our smartphones, but what about making video screencasts? This week's tip solves that problem on Android with an app called SCR Screen Recorder from XDA-Developers Member Iwo Banas.
This is a simple and easy-to-use app that allows up to 3 minutes of screen recording. There is a free version of SCR Screen Recorder in the Google Play Store that includes a watermark in every video, but this can be eliminated by purchasing the pro version.
Whether you're an app developer demonstrating features, or someone just trying to create a tutorial on accomplishing tasks in Android, SCR Screen Recorder is a great tool to have. This app requires root access, so check out the XDA-Developers Forum for information on rooting your device.
