Rene Ritchie's pick on MacBreak Weekly episode 381 are the Hue lights from Philips. These are LED light bulbs that can produce any color, and are controlled through an app over Wi-Fi. The Hue app has just been updated and optimized for iOS 7.
The new Hue app now adheres to the iOS 7 design style. It has a sidebar navigation system instead of the panel that swiped up from the bottom of the screen, which was in conflict with iOS's Control Center. Philips has also added the ability to save your current lighting configuration as a scene.
Philips has expanded Hue as well, offering more than just the traditional light bulb. Philips now sells the LivingColors Bloom and LightStrips, which provide more accent lighting.
